The Illuminati is just playing the dark side of humanity. Instead of enlighten you with love and compassion, they prefer to play the punishment role in returning to the ugly side of yours. To the Illuminati's point of view, enlightening you may get hit back by your ego. The more they try to point out your ego as your own source of suffering, the harder you try to defense yourself to cover your own ugliness. This is very much similar to selling you the harmful cosmetic in allowing you to cover the ugliness of your face and later let you suffer with skin cancer as your own punishment. Therefore, instead of doing something good to you that you may not know how to appreciate, they started to play the role of your dark side to reflect your own darkness.
Hence, you can't stop them without stopping yourself from being greedy, selfish, fearful, and ego. The more you hate them, the more you're actually hating yourself. Once you're able to clean up your mind, they'll automatically disappear without you fighting with anyone of them. This is why they called themselves 'The Illuminati' -- The 'illuminated' ones. (-.-)
